OSHA Recordkeeping: Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have listed some common questions about our OSHA Recordkeeping feature. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to contact us!

Q: Can the OSHA Forms from the Safetylogic system - OSHA Forms 300, 300A, and 301- be used to fulfill OSHA compliance?
A: Yes! Our OSHA Forms fully comply with OSHA standards. With the click of a button, you can run an OSHA Form 300 or 300A, and then just hit print. It's that easy.

Q: How do I populate an OSHA Form 300, 300A, and 301?
A: Safetylogic has created one form, an Injury / Illness Incident form, that collects information which is used to populate all of our reports including the OSHA 300, 300A, and 301 form. By completing the Injury / Illness Incident form all three OSHA forms automatically will populate (plus the information also automatically populates our Safetylogic Summary & Totals Reports!).

Q: I am the Safety Director for my organization. Can I see the OSHA Logs (Forms 300) and summary information for each of the locations in my company?
A: Yes. Because of your position with your organization, you would most likely be at the highest level within the Safetylogic system - which would give you access to all the OSHA Form 300 reports for all the locations. Further, we have an excellent Summary Report and a Totals Report that give information for all your locations.

Q: What do I do if I'm not sure if an injury or illness is OSHA recordable or not?
A: Safetylogic has provided multiple tools to help your determine if an injury or illness is OSHA Recordable. First you can click the link directly on the Safetylogic Incident Form that says "See OSHA Recordkeeping Guidelines" this will take you directly to OSHA's website. You can also look in your Safetylogic Resource Library, where there are a number of good resources that can help you understand the rules. Finally, remember that you can always change an answer on a Safetylogic Incident Form by selecting "Review Past Report."

Q: My company currently sends most of the information needed in the OSHA forms to a TPA for Workers Compensation claims, is it possible to load this data into Safetylogic to reduce duplicate recording?
A: Yes, Safetylogic has worked with many TPAs to "feed" Workers Compensation data into the Safetylogic system. Any data recorded by the TPA can be mapped to the correct field in Safetylogic, which will save time and reduce errors.

Q: Does the Safetylogic OSHA Recordkeeping feature capture Workers Compensation claims data?
A: Yes, Safetylogic captures the following claims data within our application - date claim opened, date claim controverted, data claim was closed, and the dollar amount of claim.
