Mobile Audits/Self Assessments: How It Works For You

How the Mobile Audit/Self-Assessment feature works:

The Mobile Audit / Self-Assessment feature allows you to easily track and record audits and self-assessments that are done at site locations. This feature allows you to download Safetylogic audits and self-assessments (as well as your own if they have been placed on the system) onto your Mobile (hand-held) PC. This allows you to conduct audits around your facility or out in the field without an Internet connection, and without having to write everything down by hand.

To use this feature, click on the "Prepare Mobile Audit" menu in the application, and select the desired audit from the list. The audit can then be loaded directly onto a Mobile PC unit. Once the audit / self-assessment is downloaded, just take the handheld device to the facility.

After selecting the audit to download to your device you simply need to sync up to the system and the audit will be transferred to your handheld PC.

Once you open an audit on your Mobile PC you can walk around your location and answer the questions for your audit. Once you have completed the audit you only have to sync back to the Safetylogic site and your audit will be loaded to the system and any action items will be generated.

You will be able to answer the audit questions and make comments on your PDA device.

At any point, you can put your handheld PC back on it’s "cradle" which will then allow you to automatically sync up to the Safetylogic system.

Once an audit is completed and submitted, it is validated by the system. Questions answered with a "non-preferred" response, indicating an area out of compliance, result in Action Items appearing on the auditor's Open Items list.

Action Items generated from Audits will have the word "Audit" in front of the action item. The action item can then be assigned to an employee and given a due date.

This eliminates the possibility that an area of non-compliance could be forgotten or slip through the cracks. It also saves the time it would take to generate and send the necessary action item to the individuals involved.

Safetylogic not only allows you generate an action item to address hazards, our library of written programs and best practices provides you with a remedy as well. Whether it be sent in a bulletin or covered as a topic in a safety meeting, Safetylogic provides you with the steps to take to correct areas of non-compliance.
