Safety Meetings: Frequently Asked Questions

Below we have listed some common questions about our Safety Meeting feature. If you have other questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us!

Q: Does the system track the action items that I entered for the previous meeting?
A: Yes, the system will display both the completed and not completed action items from the previous meeting, directly on the meeting form, and also on the Action Items report.

Q: I am a manager of the Southern Region that has 10 facilities, and I also manage one of the facilities in the Region. Is there an area on Safetylogic where I can see what meetings have taken place at my location? How about the entire region?
A: Yes and Yes! By going to our reports area, you can run a report and see what meetings have taken place at your location, who attended the meetings, any action items assigned, and see the meeting notes. As the Southern Region Manager you can run a report that will give you the same information as your one location, but it will have the information listed for every location!

Q: I am in charge of the Safety Department at my company and every month all of our locations need to be taking the same meeting. How can I make sure all the locations complete their monthly meeting?
A: As an administrator on Safetylogic you can distribute specific meeting topics to your locations each month. You can then use the Safetylogic reports feature to see which locations have conducted their monthly meetings and which locations did not.

Q: Can I load documents to be used in meetings to Safetylogic?
A: Yes. Meeting materials can be loaded into the Safetylogic system, which can be used during meetings.

Q: Does the Safetylogic Meeting feature fulfill the safety meeting documentation requirement from OSHA?
A: Yes. Our meeting feature allows for capturing the elements/information necessary to document employee involvement in the safety process and can be a vehicle to record the communication of safety program elements to employees. Some OSHA regulations require employee involvement and require the employer to communicate the company's programs, policies, and procedures related to safety job performance and applicable regulations.

Q: Each time I have a meeting at my facility, do I have to type in all the names of the attendees?
A: No you would not have to type in the names for each meeting. Our system stores the names of the personnel at your location. With the click of the mouse you can indicate who is present and who is absent. And using the "Manage Members" area, you can update the list with new employees, or employees that are no longer at your location.

Q: Do meetings that I record on the Safetylogic system ever get removed?
A: No. Any meeting you submit to the system will be permanently stored, and you can always access the information from any Internet connection.
